I just found some notes in my g-grandfather's files that gave me some clues. My 4g grandfather was John WILEY (no b. or d. dates) who owned an estate in County Tyrone and was a breeder of fine horses. His son, Dr. Robert WILEY, was born in County Tyrone in 1810 and moved to Nova Scotia, Canada abt. 1840. Robert WILEY practiced medicine with a paternal uncle (no name given) in Nova Scotia. He then went to another uncle (no name) finally settled in Florenceville, New Brunswick, near the Maine line, where he married Clarissa Dibble (Dibblee) and had a large family. Robert WILEY died in 1886 in Florenceville. This is my lineage: John Wiley & ? (b. Ireland) Dr. Robert Wiley (b. 1810 County Tyrone) & Clarissa Dibblee Dr. David Joseph Wiley (b. 1843, New Brunswick) & Elizabeth McCain Robert Weldon Wiley & Mabel Watt Dr. David Robert Wiley & Elinor Dick David Dick Wiley & Linda McClure Any leads or gentle pushes in the right direction would be most appreciated.
