Judi, You just can't imagine how excited I was to find this record. I only wish I had taken German in school and also wish I knew what it said. Another fellow german researcher told me that Daniel Dick was a musician. Daniel and Philippina are my 2nd great grandparents. My fathers first name is 'Dick' after them. He's constantly being called Richard even though his real name is Dick. I also found birth records for all their siblings (Philippina and Daniel's brothers and sisters) and their kids too! They were all born in either Essweiler or Bosenbach which is in the Pfaltz region. I only found out where they were born from the Dick family bible. Boy was I lucky to have the name of the town and also because the towns still exist in Germany today. I have most of the birth records scanned in if you're interested. Anyway, here's my Dick family info: Descendants of Peter Dick 1 Peter Dick . +Maria Maurer m: 12 December 1833 ...... 2 Jacob Dick b: 05 November 1834 in Civil, Bosenbach, Bayern, Germany Christening: 16 November 1834 ...... 2 Catharina Dick b: 20 May 1837 in Civil, Bosenbach, Bayern, Germany Christening: 28 May 1837 ...... 2 Philipp Dick b: 06 April 1840 in Civil, Bosenbach, Bayern, Germany Christening: 19 April 1840 ...... 2 Daniel Dick b: 15 December 1843 in Civil, Bosenbach, Bayern, Germany Christening: 24 December 1843 .......... +Philippina Jung b: 23 February 1843 in Civil, Essweiler, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany Christening: 05 March 1843 m: 10 February 1869 .............. 3 Karolina Dick b: 28 August 1870 in Essweiler, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany .............. 3 Jakob Dick b: 01 March 1872 in Essweiler, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany .............. 3 Ida Dick b: 16 January 1876 in Essweiler, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany d: 05 March 1951 in Dedham, Norfolk Co, Massachusetts .................. +Karl Schmitt b: 10 August 1868 in Bosenbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany m: 27 June 1894 d: 1917 in Massachusetts .............. 3 Wilhelmina Dick b: 17 November 1878 in Essweiler, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany d: in West Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA .................. +Robert Carnes b: 06 April 1879 d: May 1969 in West Roxbury Suffolk County MA 02132 .............. 3 Amalia Dick b: 03 October 1884 in Essweiler, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany d: Bef. 1984 ...... 2 Philippine Dick b: 15 December 1843 in Civil, Bosenbach, Bayern, Germany Christening: 24 December 1843 ...... 2 Margaretha Dick b: 19 January 1850 in Civil, Bosenbach, Bayern, Germany Christening: 30 January 1850 ...... 2 Maria Dick b: 19 January 1850 in Civil, Bosenbach, Bayern, Germany Christening: 30 January 1850 ...... 2 Peter Dick b: 19 January 1850 in Civil, Bosenbach, Bayern, Germany Christening: 30 January 1850 Nancy ----- Original Message ----- From: Outsider AngelSpider <xmaself@integrityonline.com> To: Nancy M.
