I just found some notes in my g-grandfather's files that gave me some clues. My 4g grandfather was John WILEY (no b. or d. dates) who owned an estate in County Tyrone and was a breeder of fine horses. His son, Dr. Robert WILEY, was born in County Tyrone in 1810 and moved to Nova Scotia, Canada abt. 1840. Robert WILEY practiced medicine with a paternal uncle (no name given) in Nova Scotia. He then went to another uncle (no name) finally settled in Florenceville, New Brunswick, near the Maine line, where he married Clarissa Dibble (Dibblee) and had a large family. Robert WILEY died in 1886 in Florenceville. This is my lineage: John Wiley & ? (b. Hi Betty, and other new subscribers. My husbands family settled in Indiana Co., PA in 1811. Their names were James and Mary Dinsmore Dick. Their son, Thomas Dick married Margaret Hice. That's as far back as I have gotten. I have a very simple web page on the Dick family, please check it out. Most of our family is listed, and information I copied that is not from our family. I would like to help others. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~dickfamily/index.htm Please write and tell us about your family. Maybe some one else is researching them, too. For several decades Mrs. Dick had not missed a meeting of Sunday school or church here except when prevented by illness. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Thank you Rosemary! James was my great grandfather. His daughter Tilitha (Litha) was my grandmother and she married Henry Trimble "Bud" Wallace. Their son Larrie was my father. My father wrote a list which stated that James and Sarah's daughter Mary Florence is actually "Molly" who married a Cowan. I have that James and Sarah are buried in Carter Cemetery. Is that in McCreary Co? Or do I possibly have the wrong cemetery? I would like to visit there this summer. How are you related to James? Would you know anything about Sarah Elizabeth Sellers? Thanks again, Karen Wallace Thamann

It is a bit run down because one side was demolished in the 60s to widen the road and then other buildings were knocked down leaving a notorious gap site known as the SMT triangle. After years of wrangling this is finally being built on. I believe Earl Grey Street used to be famous for its shoe shops. Going by the surrounding streets the houses would have been stone built flat fronted tenements with shops below. There are almost certainly photos somewhere. This area would probably be in St Cuthberts but of course that was a huge parish and some people had the banns called there but were married in another church. In fact I think St Cuthberts had a technical roll of about 45 000 at one point due to the expansion of the city. If George Dick was still working at Bo ness he would have had a VERY long trip to work. Judy ---------- --------------5BB439FC05B11743B154A10E--
