Hi all, Take a look! Terry Dewhurst has taken on the task of creating GenConnect Boards for us! Take a look here and bookmark them! Thanks Terry!!! http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/dew/Dewhurst http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/dew/DewhurstBios GenConnect Boards offer us another way to let researchers find us. Here, bulletin board style, whatever you post will stay posted in a searchable format rather than get placed into archives you have to put keywords into to search. This is another Rootsweb offering, so you know it is part of the effort to protect our right to research affordably! HINT: Try to be specific with info about your particular line of the family in your subject header so folks can find you easily... ("Wm. Jms. Dewhurst, b. 2 February 1852; Finchley, Middlesex, England" will get you more replies than "another Dewhurst line"). As you have queries or information to post, by placing it here, everytime a new Dewhurst researcher begins their search, they have a chance to find you, link with you and give you both a chance to share information... I have just spent the last week updating one of my lines by 200 years after locating someone using these techniques! It really does work... in my case, I now "know" another cousin, a very elderly gentleman who has spent 30 years researching this branch thoroughly... he is being very generous in sharing with me as I exchange information with him showing I really am a legit descendent of this line. I am going to post my family "saga" on the bio page in the hopes that I can round up oneday the remaining "lost cousins"....... Over time, this database will offer all our children a legacy of Dewhurst info..... Go for it!!!! Jana
