Hi, My roll-call will not take long as I don't know anything yet. My mother-in-law's maiden name was Chadwick, and the only thing she knows about her paternal grandparents is that her grandfather was Alfred Chadwick (said to be from Liverpool, but it now looks likelier that he was from Bolton) and that his wife's maiden name was DEWHURST. We don't know what her christian name was. What I would be grateful for is if anyone knows a DEWHURST who married an Alfred CHADWICK around the early 1880's (Alf Junior was born in 1887 and he had an older brother) could they please let me know, as I am beginning to think this branch of the family was carved out of stone.
