    3. Hi Jane, The Devon and Cornwall Record Society published "Exeter Freemen 1266-1967" in 1973, edited by Margery Rowe and Andrew Jackson both archivists at the Devon Record Office. This was a members only publication so I am not sure how easy it would be to get hold of a copy, certainly the reference section of most libraries in Devon would hold one. If it is just one name you are looking for let me know and I will look it up for you - it is indexed. I sent an email to Exeter City Council asking if there was a list of people/groups who had been granted the freedome of the city - on their website there is mention of some groups but not a proper list. I've not heard back from them, so I thought I'd ask this list if anyone knows.
