Morning all, Harberton PR's Elizabeth w/o William SMITH of Moreland was buried at Rattery 9 Oct 1696. Trying to establish where Moreland is? It does not seem to appear in the Gazetteer on Genuki. There is a little hamlet called Moore in Harberton, could it mean that? Bev
Evening Bev (not morning here yet) I'm sure someone will know but could it possibly be Elizabeth's address (as in name of her house)? Just a thought. Possibly Jane, it is an early date so just as likely to be the name of a cottage of farm.
