Hello Steve, There is a good book published in New Zealand written by Marianne Philson who is a descendant of the Duders. Descended from Thomas, born Kingskerswell in 1805/6. It his his descendants in Auckland that are well known there. One lady who became a DUDER by marriage is well known as a author of children's books some of which have been filmed by Hollywood. She is also an Olimpic swimer for New Zealand. Lots about her on the internet. It is I think, Tessa DUDER. Some places in Auckland including an island and a park are named after the family. Thomas was on HMS Bufalo which in 1840, was wrecked at Whitianga in Auckland Harbour. The book was sent to me by Marianne as a result of my interest in the family. The Newfoundland/Canadian and also the Brazilian branches are equally fascinating. Regards, Dennis.
