    3. Blaine: The best way to find what you are looking for is to visit the appropriate record office and sit with the catalogue, then order in the documents you think would do the trick, then spend countless hours going through each one. The staff will assist you to find the right documents. This is not so hard as you think. We visited the record office on a number of occasions from Canada. We fly in and out of Exeter airport, so make a point of being at Exeter however many days ahead of flight as we think we need to research the documents we are after. We find that combining holidays with research it works out a lot cheaper than ordering cert after cert and getting nowhere fast!!. Personal research is the only way to find what you want. They say only 1% of documentation is on the internet - and I'd believe it. You have to go where the records are. Save up and go to Devon Record office (either of them) as soon as you can. If you live in UK there is no excuse not to. Sher Canada
