    3. Hi Bev, Don't believe that his parents were Samuel and Ann BAKER, as a Samuel BAKER was born June Q 1870 in Crediton, so would almost certainly be the son of Samuel and Ann. But can't seem to find Frederic John or presumably his brother William born 1869 on the 1871 Census. 3. Believe have found them. On Census they are down as CALLARD, which is possibly correct, even though index has marriage of a William GILLARD and a Frances BAKER, and first two children are on index as GILLARD, all the other children are indexed as CALLARD and everything else seems to match. 3. Hello Tim and Elizabeth Thanks heaps for this, especially finding them as CALLARD. In the Census according to my reckoning this Frederick as CALLARD stayed in England and died there in 1896 aged only 26 yrs. He had a wife Elizabeth who I believe was an EVANS married Honiton Mar 1891. I have not gone into depth on this Frederick, but the name must have been CALLARD all along and not GILLARD. Good sleuthing by you both, thanks again.
