Hi Edna - it hit me after writing you a bit ago that Eleanor Jane met Hugh Shopland because her own father, George Alford, was a cabinet maker. I have a photo of a woman in Torquay that my g grandmother brought with her in 1891 when she came to this country from Honiton. Now I know the Torquay connection! Thank you!
