Hello David, I am interested in your idea about taking GPS readings. What app do you use and what readings do you record? There seem to be a couple of different stats (decimal or degrees, minutes, seconds) that can be recorded but I presume you just need one. However, I have begun to record GPS readings on the gravestones. Found I could get a reading on my gggrandfather's stone. (Francis Hill b.1822 Clayhanger) Original reading by satellite varied 6" from cell phone reading laid directly on the stone when I visited. I now take GPS measurement readings on all sites and record them in my family tree file.
