Same difficulty when entering <DATE> into any search box! Have you not heard of a simple solution in Google and other search engines? Enter 'genealogy:' and then the name you are searching - i.e. the word 'genealogy' (without the inverted commas) followed by a colon and then a space before the name. It will save you many hours of searching through unwanted data. Different words can be entered for subjects other than genealogy, e.g. history or a country etc. And don't forget that you can add + and - words as well. For example, 'genealogy: Door +Dore +Dorr -stevedore' will include the variations you want, plus eliminating unwanted references to stevedores. You can add up to 10 (or it may be 12) + or - words, but make sure you always leave a space before the next + or - and also don't forget to include the colon. Hope this stops some hair-tearing. Diana
