There is a baptism at Bickleigh 22 Feb 1818 of John Prater, parents John and Elizabeth, residence Eggbuckland.  In 1841 the family are in Thornbury and John Prater senior gives Plympton as his birthplace in later censuses.   I couldn't see a baptism for Elizabeth but she gives Plympton as birthplace on censuses.  I couldn't see a marriage for John Prater's parents.    Check Genuki Devon for the relevant parishes to see if there is an OPC prepared to do lookups.   Plympton, Eggbuckland, Bickleigh and Thornbury seem likely places to look in the first instance.   Regards,   Joy ________________________________ From: Margaret <margaretrudland@optusnet.com.au> To: Devon@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, 27 January 2014, 6:35 Subject: [DEV] MEERS/PRATER Hi All, I am back again looking for some help.
