    3. Hi Julie,   There is no Caroline Cross listed in the Branscombe parish register transcriptions.  However, on the 1841 census there is a John Cross aged 25 and Joseph Cross aged 3 in the same household as Caroline and her husband and I think I found John in the 1861 census with a birthplace of Branscombe.  He is possibly this baptism:   Branscombe 30 Jan 1814 John Cross son of Samuel and Martha, dairyman: http://www.branscombeproject.org.uk/bap.htm   I see that Charles and Caroline did name a daughter Martha Cross Willis so John may be a brother.   There is no Caroline Cross baptism in the Cullompton transcriptions on Genuki which go up to 1812. http://genuki.cs.ncl.ac.uk/DEV/Cullompton/CullomptonBaptisms1798.html     Regards,   Joy ________________________________ From: julie roberts <dewie58@tadaust.org.au> To: devon@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, 2 January 2014, 4:02 Subject: [DEV] Caroline Cross from Exeter or Branscombe or Cullumpton Devon Happy new year to all. My 3rd great grandmother was born 1809-1811 in either of these places according to records on ancestry and familysearch. Caroline Cross married Charles Willis in Marston Magna near Yeovil Somerset and now Dorset I think. I cannot find her parents or family so any help appreciated.
