David All I know about Rebekah is that she was chr 22 September 1728 in Charleton, married there on 27 May 1751 and she was buried there on 2 April 1794. [All info from lookups in the original PRs via the http://www.our4bears.net/index.htm website in July 2011] Her parents were Richard STRAW and Anne, and Bev's work on the PRs suggest that Anne's maiden name was KING. This couple were married on 13 July 1710 in Charleton. Bev has found three children from that marriage, and the next three are my own information, gained from lookups in the original PRs via the http://www.our4bears.net/index.htm website in July 2011. The children are: Nickolas s/o bapt 9 mber ye 27th [November 27th] 1711 Richard s/o bapt March ye 2nd 1713 Sarah [STRAW] bapt Feb ?? 1716 [could be abt 12th] James, chr 28 August 1720 in Charleton Ann, chr 18 August 1723 in Charleton Rebekah/Rebecca, chr 22 September 1728, marr 27 May 1751, bur 2 April 1794, all in Charleton. One of my new England ancestors, like Greenfield LARRABEE, namely, William STRAW, shows up out of nowhere in Amesbury, Massachusetts, in 1683. Some have speculated that he came from East Anglia (Suffolk) or the Midlands (Nottinghamshire). Now it seems there is a possibility that his origins might be found in the West of England. Do you know much more about Rebekah's STRAW's parentage and ancestors?
