Hi Robyn, I think the idea behind this was for people who came across an entry in the Parish Register where the Vicar noted that the child who was buried as a still born, born dead, or dead born child [or whatever term he chose to use] was written, for these entries to be submitted. Otherwise how would anyone know that this child existed. Not all entries of every parish in England will ever make it to a web-site [not in our life time anyway] but we do live in hope. So I think these still birth entries are very valuable and would explain why there are such long gaps between some children in certain families. At the time I was Googling and came across an article which lead me to this Register.
