BARRETT, son aged 12, Portsea George H. Edmunds, son aged 1 [GRO Mother RENSHAW] If she is the same Sarah then... In 1881 Stoke Damerel Sarah HEMMETT, widow, born 1810 Devonport John RENSHAW, widower, 1815, Devonport [this is her brother bapt 1815 s/o John & Rebecca RANSHAW] Again, f she is the same Sarah then... In 1891 Devonport Sarah HEMMENT Widow 1811 is with her son George Edmonds, 1849 Seaman Pensioner. Birth of John Samuel BARNETT birth registered Q3 1838 - Portsea Island - Vol 7 p 127 - MMN RENSHAW Still can't find marriage of Sarah BARNETT/BARRETT to an EDMONDS, although possible that their could be another marriage between 1838 and 1850, so may be hard to track down. Hi Bev The 1841 census has: Granby North East, Stoke Damerel, Devon, England HO107 Piece 273, Book 2, Folio 31, Page 57 Sarah BARNETT Female aged 30 born in Devon with John BARNETT Male aged 2 not born in Devon Living in the same household but a separate family group are: Reb’a (Rebecca?) RENSHAW Female aged 50 not born in Devon William RENSHAW Male aged 12 born in Devon Samuel RENSHAW Male aged 7 not born in Devon Also on FMP there is the baptism at Stoke Damerel of Sarah RENSHAW on 30 Dec 1812, parents John & Rebecca. I’ll keep looking for the EDM*NDS and HEMMETT connections.
