Thanks so much, Chris. This Selena would seem to be a relative of Wm. White's family (my ancestor Sarah Hooper married to William White), unless I find a baptism/birth record for her - I've found all the other kids of Wm and Sarah, but nothing for her. Reviewing my notes copied from the Bible, there is the date of 20 May 1856 next to her name, before she lists my forebears and their birthdays. Sarahs many children were all born in Farway, Northleigh, or Gittisham - so Selena, it seems to me, must have been a cousin of Wm White's?? Something like that - thanks to everyone who looked for her for me!
