Depends what you mean by compromised. Usually this means a security breach. I know of no evidence to suggest that happened. After all, the complete contents of the Rootsweb mailing list archives are visible to all, so what is there to breach? So far as I remember, earlier in the year, Ancestry needed to restore the back-ups for Rootsweb - at which point they found that their back-ups were inadequate in some fashion. I believe that many people have never come back to the lists - though Devon users deserve praise as they are active. Adrian B
