Hi, About 13 years ago I created a web site called Parish Finder (http://www.parishfinder.co.uk), a simple, useful, free-to-use tool for family historians that helps people plan their research. I just put it on the web, no marketing, nothing, other than a post to some mailing lists that it was live (including this list, most probably). It’s had steady, daily use every day since then. It was even once a “useful web sites” pick in the Wiltshire Family History Society journal! Not bad for something that I did as a hobby. Some years ago I put a note on the site saying a version for iPad and iPhone was nearing completion. Well, things didn't go exactly to plan, and it never saw the light of day. Until now.
