The parish burial register (entry no. 499) shows that George PERRIAM was buried in September 1832. However, the transcription of the entry on his headstone (item 831 on the web-site schedule) includes a death date of 24 September 1833 and his age as 32. The burial register shows his age as 30. If anyone is in the vicinity of East Budleigh could they check the accuracy of the transcription, please? Unfortunately there do appear to be a number of inconsistencies with this transcription. e.g. page 78 entry no. 623 of the burial register shows a burial date of 31 August 1836 for Elizabeth Ann PERRIAM aged 5 (she was baptised on 19 June 1831) whilst the transcription shows a death date of 27 August 1837.
