I double-checked this passenger list entry at Ancestry.com, since a number of ships that departed from English ports often stopped at Cobh/Queenstown (= Cork harbor) in Ireland on their way across the Atlantic. I've been unable to access the passenger list _image_, but Ancestry's data _summary_ ("record) says that Rose MARDON, born about 1858 IN IRELAND, last resident OF IRELAND, departed from LIVERPOOL on the ship "Ohio" and arrived in Philadelphia on 13 May 1884. It's _possible_ this ship began her voyage in Liverpool and then stopped in Ireland, as discussed above; or you may have to run your search in reverse! I'll keep trying to find an image of this passenger list, to be sure Ancestry's info is correct. It may take a while; maybe someone else can help with this search in the meantime.
