Maurine, I have the impression all Derndinger/Derendinger in that area were related. Franz Joseph Derendinger, host in Achern, married Maria Magdalena Ernst in Achern 8 May 1769. His father was Michael Derendinger who was host in the inn "Grüner Baum" in Heiligenzell. The eldest son of the couple Derendinger-Ernst was Franz Ignaz (* 7 October 1775). He was brewer and moved to Haguenau in Alsace (between 1790 and 1800) where he was named Francois Ignace. He died in 1847. Stefan Derndinger from Ichenheim married Katharina Ehret in Niederschopfheim 10 September 1742. Katharina Ehret's 1st husband was the miller Adam Ehret. Katharina died in 1750 and Stefan married Anna Maria Wurth 11 January 1751. Their son was Stefan Derndinger (1765-1798) who married Ursula Ehrhardt (1767-1828) 10 January 1791. .... Jakob Anton Derndinger was born in Ichenheim. He was a tradesman and owner of a glassworks (at 1st near Diersburg, later in Offenburg). He rented the coal-mines near Berghaupten in 1818, later also near Diersburg. He was partner of a firm in Oppenau which produced pitchers or mugs (I. A. Derndinger und Sohler), lived since 1829 in Offenburg, hauled lime and gypsum in Zunsweier, Kenzingen, Niederschopfheim, Herbolzheim, Breisach, Oppenau, Steinbach. - Wendelin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maurine LeBlanc" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 06, 2005 4:54 AM Subject: [Ortenau] Derendinger surname > DJ, > > Unfortunately for me I do not have all the Derendinger data available.
