    3. Tony, I believe the reading of "Dornach" is wrong and should be "Fernach". Fernach is incorporated with Oberkirch since 1872. Fernach (also Loh) is growing together with Oberkirch. But I assume there are still inhabitants who can tell you exactly where one ends and one begins. - Wendelin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, June 14, 2005 5:16 PM Subject: [Ortenau] Dornach to Oberkirch > Could someone please tell me the distance from Dornach,Baden to Oberkirch, Baden in the early 1800's? Not that it has moved since, but does it still exist today. Exact miles do not matter but rather if it were walking distance or not is what I am searching for. > Also Fernach,Baden to Oberkirch.... > Thanks, Tony

    3. Fernach makes more sense than Dornach to me as well. I had a Baptismal Document translated and the translator listed one of the God-Parents as being from Dornach. That same person in another child's Baptismal Document was listed as being a locksmith in Fernach. Just wanted to make sure I was not overlooking a small hamlet of long ago that is now part of Oberkirch. Thanks for your input into this query.
