    3. Dear fellow genealogists, another question just arose when I strudied the parish racords of Gengenbach: Can anyone tell me where to find Hoffstetten and Mertzbach, and where to find genealogical data of these villages in the 17th century? My anchestor Michael Neumeyer, son of Simon N. from Hoffstetten, was married ca. 1680 to Anna, daughter of Sebastian Hermann from Mertzbach. Best wishes Kurt (Erlemann) Wuppertal

    3. Hi Kurt, our webpage http://ortenau-history.de.vu says under Biberach: "Zinken: Bruch, Fröschbach, Erzbach (früher: Hirzbach, Mirzbach, Merzbach), Rebhöfe, Haubach." "Hoffstetten" is Hofstetten: "Gehörte als Filialkirche zur Pfarrei Haslach. Seit 1952 eigene Pfarrei." - Wendelin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Prof. Dr. Kurt Erlemann" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 26, 2005 12:14 PM Subject: [Ortenau] Mertzbach, Hoffstetten > Dear fellow genealogists, > > another question just arose when I strudied the parish racords of > Gengenbach: Can anyone tell me where to find Hoffstetten and Mertzbach, and > where to find genealogical data of these villages in the 17th century? > > My anchestor Michael Neumeyer, son of Simon N. from Hoffstetten, was married > ca. 1680 to Anna, daughter of Sebastian Hermann from Mertzbach. > > Best wishes > > Kurt (Erlemann) > Wuppertal
