    1. Re: Schaub -- Carolyn Baltz -- List Members
    2. Pat Zipf
    3. Hello to all on the List, I have the Ortssippenbuch for Kippenheimweiler. I took a look to see if the Schaub name was mentioned. This is what was there. Emma Zipf married Jakob SCHAUB in Dinglingen....date unknown, but Emma was born 4 Sept 1879....so the marriage was probably around 1900. Hermann SCHAUB , born Kippenheim 3 May 1850, son of Josef SCHAUB, weber of Kippenheim and his wife, Franziska nee KLEM. Hermann married Paulina Schell on 11 Mar 1878. They were Catholic. Hermann was a "Schutzmann" in Baden-Baden. Karl SCHAUB, born Dinglingen, Catholic, parents not given, married Erna Johanna Anna Berne on 10 Nov 1939 at Ustersbach. Karl was a "Schriftsetzer" in Ettenheim. They had 2 children, Herta SCHAUB, 29 May 1939, and Gerlinde Inge, 17 Aug 1940. Alfred SCHAUB, Arbeiter, Obergefreiter, Catholic, born Orschweier 1 May 1908...Married Anna Kurz, date not given. They had a daughter, Christa, born Kippenheim 23 Dec 1940. Werner Josef SCHAUB, born 17 Nov 1934 at Grafenhausen, son of Franz SCHAUB schmied and Landwirt in Grafenhausen and Helene nee Isele. (Grafenhausen book #2866). Werner married Mina Tisch on 31 Aug 1960. Children were Uta Brigitte on 3 Feb 1962 and Marko Richard, at Offenburg on 6 July 1969. Monika SCHAUB, born Offenburg 5 Apr 1954, married Herbert Emil Weis in Lahr 11 July 1974. Two children: Matthias, at Lahr, 9 Nov 1975 and Martin at Lahr, 6 Nov 1979. Certainly hope that this will give Carolyn some clues. Some villages are mentioned several times, so they might be worth checking out. Lots of luck to Carolyn and to all on the List with their ows searches.
