The map shows the Habsburg lands and the Hessian Hanau-Lichtenberg to the north in the OrtenauKreis. It identifies the area of the Bistum Straßburg, Reichsstädte towns and other bits and pieces of ownership including Herrschaft(s) to the south. This map is one of several excellent pre-Napoleonic maps of the Baden area available on-line. If you have never looked at it, put the URL in your browser and look it over. Perhaps, you might want to print it or send yourself a copy of the map for your personal genealogical records.
