    1. See the Tour de France in ORTENAU
    2. Just checking up on Le Tour de France. For those of you who don't know, it's a really big bicycle race that takes place every July in France. :-) On Saturday, the Tour visits Germany and includes a ride through Bohlsbach among other villages in Baden. Perhaps the bicyclists will race down Okenstrasse?? For more information, check out this link to Saturday's stage of the Tour: _http://www.letour.com/2005/TDF/LIVE/us/800/horaire.html_ (http://www.letour.com/2005/TDF/LIVE/us/800/horaire.html) and watch OLN (Outdoor Life Network) on cable to catch the race. 3. Saturday, my wife and I watched as much of the Tour de France through Baden as we could on Irish TV and saw the bicycles going through Kippenheim, Altdorf and Ringsheim. My great grandfather was born in Mahlberg, only 1/2 mile from the road which the race took south. The day before, Friday, the race went through Karlsruhe. The coverage was wonderful with views from helicopters and motorcycles driving along the same route. I believe the bicycles crossed back into France over a bridge near Sasbach on their way to their day's destination in France, Gerardmer.
