Thanks again, Wendelin!! Your kind posting of the pictures of costumes brought back memories of our visit, especially to the Heimat Museum in Altenheim. We were particularly interested in the traditional dress which I understand was still common until the Second World War, especially for women. We were told that each village had a distinctive style of hair piece for women. It is supposedly possible to identify a woman's village from a photo if she is wearing a traditional style.
