I'm attempting to fill in holes the Fischbach genealogy tree. Does any one on this list have information on the birth and death dates for Ursula Heitz (who married Jakob Fischbach in 1813 in Neiderschopfheim, Baden). Dick
Hello Dick, I'd like to help you out since there are copies of all the Niederschopfheim films here at the local FHC, but I'm having a hard time finding the marriage you described by the names you gave. There was a Martin Fischbach that married in 1813 to Theresia someone (I'd have to study over the film more to get the correct four letter name for that one), and a Jakob Fischbach that married a Magdalena Bürckle on 4 Feb 1805, but not a Jakob in 1813 for the filmed Catholic church records I have. Without finding that marriage, I went no further to hunt for a birth as I was using 1813 as a basis to count back roughly at least 20 years in finding a baptismal record for Ursula Heitz. Besides, with all the Heitz in the area, it is good to have the parents' names in the marriage record to confirm the same in a baptismal record - making sure to have the correct Ursula Heitz. Do you think the marriage took place somewhere else? Perhaps another Lister might have the solution. My line of Heitz were from Ebersweier, but a well-known researcher has the Ebersweier Heitz mapped out on his web site and I didn't see Ursula there either.
