    3. To All Ortenau List Members.... Yesterday a message from Kurt Erlemann about Kirnbach came through to my inbox but not in the normal way of a Rootsweb Ortenau List message. The word "Ortenau" did not precede the Subject, there was no Ortenau Tagline as well as no Rootsweb Tagline and the message was not processed into the Ortenau List Archives. This appears to be connected to one of the current Message statements on the Rootsweb Help Page....but in reverse. The Rootsweb message is: "Mail Blocked by ISPs: "2005-09-01 "Several ISPs are blocking mail from us, especially the RootsWeb Review and Message Board My Notifications. Currently blocking this mail is hotmail.com, bellsouth.net, cox.net, attglobal.net, juno.com, email.msn.com, msn.com, netzero.com, netzero.net, and some other smaller providers. Domains that are possibly being blocked are earthlink.net, earthlink.com, ix.netcom.com (tied to earthlink), sprintmail.com (also tied to earthlink)and verizon.net. "Please let your ISP know that you want mail from RootsWeb.com as well as: [email protected] (for the RootsWeb Review) [email protected] (for My Notifications) and that they are not spam." --------------- Kurt's message has now reappeared but there is the suggestion that for some reason Rootsweb is not accepting messages from his ISP. For my own ISP which is one of the Rootsweb above-listed-tabooed ISPs, I have found one Rootsweb message caught in the Spam Filter but only one so far. While Rootsweb is going through this current problem, if you send a message to the List and you do not receive it back through the List and your message is not archived, please let me know. If such a message does disappear in Rootsweb processing, I would attempt to resend your message so that all might receive your question or your information. djweber [email protected]
