    3. When Wendelin set up our Ortenau List, he already had accumulated much information including a number of web sites. I had found some sites with mine mostly being map or history sites. In an e-mail discussion, the thought came up (and quickly was turned down) that monthly messages should be sent to the List offering various details which might, for some, be of value. To make that information available to you Wendelin set up a "Links" (Tab) page from his Search set of pages. After an attempt to categorize those site URLs I entered them onto that Links page. Listing URLs, though, is similar to bookmarking a page and going back to it several months later only to learn that the URL address is obsolete. Some of those URLs on the Links page have been changed too many times to count. For my own needs, I do not bookmark but I send myself the full web page with original URL so I have the full details. If the web address is changed, I have a better chance of doing a google search and finding the new address. The next step with all the URL changes was not a give-up on the Links but it led into your Annoying Messages. The Links Tab still exists from the heading of the Search page. Some of the listed addresses are still valid; some of the addresses may no longer be valid but a number of web sites....town sites including town web cams, Ortenau sites, Baden sites, German sites, map sites, history sites, etc....are listed there for your use. If you have used any of the suggestions from the Annoying Messages, perhaps some of those sites identified on the Links page might also be of value to you (if they are still a live address). However, the next step was back to the drawing board and back to the original thought of sending list messages. However, rather than monthly stick-it-in-your-face, boiler plate messages as we feared they might be considered, I have attempted, as I have found some potential site, to merely send an Annoying Message. If you look for any of the sites on that Links page and find nothing, let me know. I'll try to locate a new URL, replace the old in the Links and send the new URL on to you. djweber djwdjw@ix.netcom.com
