I noticed the emigration webpage http://www.auswanderer-bw.de has a new link "GIS" (at least for me it's a new link) which leads to: http://129.143.96.48/mapbender_2.4.2/http/frames/login.php?name=gast&password=gast You can search for an emigrant, click on the name and then you can view the town of origin on a map. But it seems there are still the old errors in the database so emigrants from Ulm near Renchen are according of the database from Ulm near Lichtenau. But you can also search for communities (Gemeinde), former communites (Teilort) or hamlets (Wohnplatz) in Baden-Württemberg. Seems the new page is only in German. - Wendelin
