    3. Dan and group, Just the information on the permit as I know the town of his origin. I'd like to get it for him and his siblings who also came to America. I've seen the Baden emigration website previously that Wendelin suggested and Bernard Fetter is not on it for the year of emigration. German researchers that I spoke to at the National Genealogical Society's convention held last week in Kansas City, MO suggested contacting the individual German town's city hall as these records are often still house there. Many have had success with this. Any other thoughts or suggestions?
