There are hundreds of persons with the names Waibel (hundreds with telephone) and Weibel (about 250 with telephone) in Germany and I do not believe they are all related with each other so you should at first make research in the Saarland area. Weibel live especially in the Stuttgart area, Ludwigshafen/Heidelberg area, Frankfurt area, Saarland, München area, Düsseldorf and Köln area, Hannover area... Here is a small map which shows the spreading of Weibels: http://ortenau.genealogy-bw.de/weibel.gif<http://ortenau.genealogy-bw.de/weibel.gif> A Weibel was a profession: Feldwebel, Unteroffizier, Gerichtsdiener, Amtsdiener. - Wendelin On Fri, 7 Mar 2008 21:19:43 -0500 "David Wyble Sr" <cwowretusmc@msn.com<mailto:cwowretusmc@msn.com>> wrote: > I am still searching for Johannes and Carl/Karl Weibel who lived in > the Saarland and Schmelz areas.
