    3. Bruce, My guess is that you used a new (or different) e-mail address, an address which Rootsweb did not recognize. Your message was refused for the List so I am repeating your question below. Fernach from Wendelin's page on Oberkirch became part of that town in 1872. I would assume this means that "way back then" Oberkirch had expanded sufficiently to move beyond Fernach and that today Fernach is a few streets within the city, a Fernach Square, a Fernach Corners (as we would call old towns in the US) something like that. I tried several of the online mapping programs to see if I could find a Fernachstrasse in a map of Oberkirch but I must have used the wrong programs or Fernach is merely a memory in Oberkirch today. I did find that the URL for < http://www.oberkirch.de/ > (unless I typed it wrong ) is up for sale. For Fernach for you, I will defer immediately to any of our German List members who know much more than I. Will someone please tell Bruce where Fernach used to be. Also, Bruce, if you are planning on using this e-mail address rather than your subscribed e-mail adress, some adjustments have to be made for the List. djweber djwdjw@ix.netcom.com -------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bruce Spade" <baspade@c-zone.net> To: <deu-bad-ortenau-bounces@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2008 6:10 PM Subject: Fernach I see Fernach listed on the website but can't find it on a map. Can someone tell me where it is in relation to Oberkirch? Thank you, Bruce

Sorry for the english-speaking-members. I tried to write this in english but I have not enough words. I think I know where Fernach is. I can drive through Oberkirch today and look. Than I can say you. But I thin it is in the western part of Oberkirch. Herzliche GrĂ¼sse Gabi Ich werde mal nachfragen. ----- Original Message ----- From: "djweber" <djwdjw@ix.netcom.com> To: <deu-bad-ortenau@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2008 3:17 AM Subject: Re: [Ortenau] Fernach > Bruce, > > My guess is that you used a new (or different) e-mail address, an address > which Rootsweb did not recognize.
