Bruce, I realize from your direct message that knowing Fernach has been a part of Oberkirch, you are fairly satisfied. Those Church Registers of Oberkirch should cover any of the Rite information you need. But take a look at Gabi's web site. Although the pictures did not come up for me, they might for you in your computer. As I expected that Fernach would have been to the east, thinking that the heart of Oberkirch was the larger area and any expansion would have been to the east, I goofed. Perhaps a map URL search, zoomed in to the west side of town will find some street named Fernach for you. I imagine Wendelin knows this....I ran an < images.google > search for Fernach and < images > has almost all of his Town Wappen are linked to their search engine with several direct links to various of his < ortenau-genealogy > pages. Hmmmm, does mean < google > is that good? djweber djwdjw@ix.netcom.com ------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gabi Waidele" <gabiwaidele@yahoo.de> To: <deu-bad-ortenau@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2008 4:18 AM Subject: Re: [Ortenau] Fernach Hallo DJ, ich fahre heute nachmittag durch Oberkirch. Sorry for the english-speaking-members. I tried to write this in english but I have not enough words. I think I know where Fernach is. I can drive through Oberkirch today and look. Than I can say you. But I thin it is in the western part of Oberkirch. Herzliche Grüsse Gabi Ich werde mal nachfragen.
Hallo Bruce, I looked in Oberkirch yesterday. I did not find something looking like an old "village" or something like that. Fernach was in the area K 10 in this Stadtplan: http://www.oberkirch.de/inhalt/stadtplan/stadtplan_index.html Liebe Grüsse Gabi Waidele ----- Original Message ----- From: "djweber" <djwdjw@ix.netcom.com> To: <deu-bad-ortenau@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 14, 2008 3:50 AM Subject: Re: [Ortenau] Fernach Bruce, I realize from your direct message that knowing Fernach has been a part of Oberkirch, you are fairly satisfied.
