Jonathan Ake of Baltimore Hd is my ancestor through his dau Elizabeth m Benjamin Long (Selbyville). Jonathan had a son Thomas but both he and Thomas D are listed on the 1860 census. I find a Thomas later nr Ocean View where I believe Jonathan lived. Likewise it is possible that there were 2 Sallies in 1870 although I too have theorized she was listed twice on the same census. John S. at Bethel would be her brother. In 1840 Balt Hd. a Thomas lived bet Levin Rickets & John Wharton. 1800 Census. Wor Co MD. Bogerternorton Hd. shows William Ake whom I have theorized was father of Thomas D. as Thomas D. named a son William; likewise Wm may be son of John in Bogerternorton 1740.
