I haven't been able to find much on them though. I was at one point quite convinced my Nancy Middleton Downing born 1779 was the daughter of Dickerson and Nancy Banam Middleton, but I don't have anything on the matter. I do know the Downings probably go back to a Terrence Downing born circa 1670's MD who married Elizabeth Middleton. James Middletons brothers are probably where both your line and mine come in. So if you find anything please let me know. I will do the same.
