    1. [DESUSSEX] 1840 Callaway Family residing near Thomas and George Hearn's Mill Branch
    2. Hi All, I Am in need of Land Location, as per description of Plot Plan. My Callaway Family's 1840 Plot Plan, shows their land bound up to the "Jos and George Hearn's Mill Branch," of which Branch also adjoined to "Cannon's Mill Pond," in Sussex County, Delaware. According to the plot plan, their Land spanned both sides of: " The County Road to the Village of Laurel". To date, I would anticipate this description as being Route 13-A, as US 13 wasn't built until the 1940s. I am also lead to believe that the "Jos. & George Hearns Mill Branch," is the Dam west of 13-A in Seaford, Delaware, that had recently been rebuilt after a wash out last year. Can anyone add to this Jos. & George Hearn's Mill Branch - bounding up to Cannon's Mill Pond, in Sussex County, Delaware? My Ancestor's, John & Sarah (Sally) Callaway, resided their up to 1840, and Wingate Callaway owned land beside theirs, possible their son. Their Seven Siblings, according to the division's of land after John's Death, included my 3rd G. Grandmother: Sarah Emeline Callaway, Levi C. Callaway, William A. Callaway, Priscila A. Callaway married to Stephen Gordy, Levinia W. Callaway, Wingate M. T. Callaway, and John W. Callaway. Reply's to: John J. Zoch, Sr. Seaford, Delaware E-mail: [email protected]
