I've been sifting through Sussex County tax lists for the early 19th century. Around 1830, I see several entries on the main tax rate list with the initials "B.C.H." after the person's name. For example, in Little Creek Hundred: Joseph Betts B.C.H. 250 Manam Bull B.C.H. 75 I'm taking a wild guess and speculating that these were people who lived in Broad Creek Hundred (B.C.H.) who owned property in Little Creek Hd? Any other possible interpretation anyone would like to advance? Thanks for any thoughts.
