    1. [DESUSSEX] H. R. Calloway / Callaway?
    2. Hi List! 08-04-02 In reference to H. R. Callaway, b. c. 1819, Sussex County, Delaware. I wondered if this name could be Henry R. Callaway? As I have a Henry R. Callaway born to Wingate Callaway (b. c. 1769-1794, d. c. 1840-1841), of Sussex County, Delaware & Eunice (Ward) Hosea, (b. est. 1770-1803, d. est. 1819-1886). I have Wingate & Eunice Callaway's other children as: Levinia, Nancy, Elizabeth, Hetty, John W., William, Luther H. Callaway, b. c. 1825-1830. Henry R. Callaway's Father; Wingate Callaway, was born to: William Callaway, b. c. 1754, & d. 1793, in Sussex County, Delaware, & Wife of William was Sarah. Later after William's death in 1793, Sarah Callaway relocated from Sussex Co., DE. into Georgia, marring a William Giles. Both were known to each other in Sussex County, DE. and Sarah was believed to have taken her youngest son (William) with her when relocating into Georgia. Thus another line of Delaware / Georgia Callaway's. My Tree Maker puts H. R. Callaway as a 1st Cousin 5x removed, as William Callaway, (d. 1793) is my 5th G. Grandfather. Incidentally, for those interested in the Callaway / Calloway lines, the 27th annual Callaway Family Association "Gathering," will be held this October 10-13, 2002 at the Sheraton International Hotel, close to BWI Airport, 7032 Elm Road, Baltimore, Maryland. There is a 25.00 reg. fee. Upon request I can forward more particulars. In Callaway Memory, John J. Zoch, Sr. Broad Creek Hundred Seaford, Delaware E-mail: [email protected]
