Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3Y.2ADI/1445.1.1.1 Message Board Post: On Jun 28, 1844, Sarah Nutter of Fayette County Kentucky aged 85 on Jun 1, 1844 made an application for a pension based on the Revolutionary service of her former husband, Robert Nutter. The application states that she married Robert Nutter October, 1775, "a soldier from Sussex County, Delaware, who went into the army in 1777 and died of camp fever. She married March 15th, 1781 Thomas Nutter who died Oct. 18th, 1835. Betty Nutter born August 26th, 1776 is the child by the first husband." A bible record presented with the application states that Sarah Bagwell, daughter of John Bagwell and Elizabeth his wife was born June 1st, 1759 and married Thomas Nutter March 15, 1781. Children of the second marriage were Leah, Huet, Sally, David and William. I have nothing on Alexander Curry at this time. Thomas Nutter sold his land in Sussex County, DE, near the end of 1794. In March 1804, David and Thomas Nutter of Scott County, Kentucky, gave Power of Attorney to Robert Griffith! of Scott County, to sell slaves remaining in Delaware. It is recorded among the Sussex County, Delaware land records. Sarah Bagwell Nutter's sister, Elizabeth, married Tubman Cannon in Delaware. They migrated from Delaware to Shelby County, Kentucky. Elizabeth died in New Albany, Indiana, Mar 8, 1857 at aged 85.
