Deed. This Indenture made 27 Oct 1789 between Nunez DEPUTY of Sussex cnty, DE of the one part & Purnal VEACH of same cnty of the other part. There is a tract of land containing 304 acres situate in Cedar Creek Hundred in cnty afsd adjoining land of Silvester DEPUTY & William DANIEL & Alexander LAYTON , The afsd tract being the portion of land that fell to the sd Nunez DEPUTY at his father's death. Nunez DEPUTY for the sum of œ100 paid to him 12 Jan 17 last by Purnal VEACH hath sold to sd VEACH a part of the above mentioned tract containing in all 150 acres & premises. Condition of sd Bond is such that if Joshua TURNER convey sufficient Deed of Sale for a tract of land situate in Prime Hook Hundred containing 100 acres it being part of a tract that Joshua TURNER now lives on this Obligation to be void. John SHARP Sr for the sum of 5s & for divers other good causes conveys unto Selby SHARP two tracts of land, one called the Fork Tract granted to John LOFFLAND & conveyed by to sd John SHARP Sr containing 30 acres of land & the other tract being 1 moiety or half part of a larger tract granted to William TOWNSEND & by sundry conveyances became the property of John SHARP containing 100 acres of land. John MILLER, late of Sussex cnty, DE, was seized of a parcel of land situate in Cedar Creek Hundred called Swilby's & afterwards d: leaving several children to whom sd tract descended. Robert MILLER, oldest son of afsd petitioned Orphans Ct to partition sd land & evaluation was set at 30s per acre, there being the quantity of 154 acres amounting to the sum of œ231 7s 6p. Robert MILLER by Indenture dtd 09 Mar 1785 sold unto Betty MILLER a parcel of land, part of the afsd tract called Twilleys, near Rachel TURNER's fence, bounded by land of Branston LOFTLAND, laid off for 32 acres w/all improvements. 04 Feb 1789 Betty MILLER bound herself unto Littleton TOWNSEND of sd cnty in the sum of œ5 w/condition sd Betty MILLER to provide sufficient Deed unto Littleton TOWNSEND for the 32 acres & improvements sd Bond to be void. Afsd Littleton TOWNSEND d: before such conveyance was made & by his will dtd 15 Feb 1791 bequeathed his entire estate to his 4 children to be equally divided & apptd Richard HAYS Esq his Exec. Betty MILLER for the sum of œ23 paid by Richard HAYS hath sold the afsd 32 acres unto Richard HAYS for the proper use & benefit of Elizabeth TOWNSEND, William TOWNSEND, Littleton TOWNSEND & Comfort TOWNSEND, heirs of the afsd Littleton TOWNSEND, dec'd.
