I am looking for information about my great uncle George W. BAILEY ( b. circa 1865 - died between 1947-1953). In his sister Martha's 1947 obit he was listed as living in Georgetown, DE but he was not mentioned (and assumed deceased) in his sister Mary Elizabeth's obit in 1953. My question. . . A family member said that this George Bailey was thought to have been a sea captain. How would I find out if this was true and whether he was in the Navy or if he was a fisherman or something of that sort involved in private commerce? Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.
