I don't know if this might be any help but there is a grave site for a James Dale (Sept 18, 1870 age 75 years, 7 months, 1 day) not far from the Blackwater Church. Also there is Margaret Dale (Feb 21, 1881 age 84 years, 5 months, 9 days) and Mary E. W. Dale (March 17, 1869 age 37 years, 2 months, 15 days) ___________________________________________________________________________ Also, in a land transaction between of Uriah Short and Solomon Evans (3/28/1806) "...to the 1st beginning cont. 68 3/4 acres of land and the 2nd part of a tract being called "Blackwater" and beginning at a marked white oak standing at the southwest by west corner of an old field where James Dale now lives being the original bounder of the said tract and also being the original bounder of a tract of land called "Sandy Quarter"... " ___________________________________________________________________________ Also, I have a land record for one of my ancestors. James Bennett is buying land from his father Jehu Bennett in 1819. "...two pieces of a tract of land called 'Holly Grove' the one piece bought of James Cropper and wife and the other bought of Thomas Dale it being in Baltimore Hundred and County and State aforesaid..." __________________________________________________________________________ Next I have a question. Did your Isaac Dale ever spend time in Tennissee? I have a land record where Isaac A. Dale of Smith County, Tennissee was appointed and impowered to act in behalf of Elizabeth Dale (widow) of Smith County, Tennissee "...that whereas a certain Elizabeth Dale of Smith County and State of Tennessee (widow) by certain conveyances (?) became lawfully seized and possed of a certain tract piece of parcell of land situated in Sussex County and State of Delaware known by the name of Scotish Plott and being seized and posesed in fee simple now to wit in the seventh day of September A Domini one thousand eight hundred and twelve did constitute appoint and impower Isaac A Dale her true and lawfull attorney to sell..." ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
