Greetings again, My Cousin Mark is working on 'trying' find our gggg gf Unknown Calloway , possibly William . Based upon recent findings in the Civil War Pension Record of William H. Calloway who m; first Asenith Russell and then without benefit of divorce went to NJ and married Elizabeth Totten and had add'l children; it states clearly that the first born child of ggg gf Jonathan Calloway and Sarah Drain was Anne Calloway who married a Vickers. She states she is his half-sister. Jonathan Calloway and my ggg gm Sarah Drain [parents unknown] were married in 1837 in Sussex DE. We are just abt. certain that ggg gf Jonathan Calloway was first married to Winnie Hastings d/o Daniel Hastings and had the son William H. Calloway [information listed above]. We have been unsuccesful in locating Jonathan, Sarah and their last child Jonathan Calloway after the 1880 Dorchester Co. census No burial records have been located either. Here's Mark's theory [copies and pasted e-mail msg. from him to me], can anyone shed some light on any of these individuals to help prove or disprove his/our theory. His Theory: "found a wedding for  sarah callaway and collins vinson on the mormon site.1/22/1827.sarah was jonathan's sister.i've been looking up hasting(s),,calloways and various other names trying to find jonathan calloway's father.there is a william callaway in 1830 who might fit.he's right next to benjamin hasting-winnie's brother.he has a son born between 1810-15 who could be our jonathan.if we could find some transaction involving jonathan calloway and hastings and/or collins vincent. that william calloway appears to have been born 1790-1800.i'm leaning towards our jonathan being born ca. 1813/4 especially if he was the jonathan who married winnie in 1831.that birthdate would fit with the 1880 census age for him.would love to hear your thoughts.        cousin mark" No luck with the Callaway Assoc.
