Can anyone provide information on ROBERT CLARKSON or any of his daughters. ROBERT CLARKSON of North West Fork Hundred died in Sussex County leaving a Will dated July 2, 1796 and proven December 20, 1796. He names four daughters; LEAH CLARKSON, who was married to JONATHAN JACOBS by May of 1797; ALFREDA CLARKSON; PHILLIS LEDNUM ( wife of ZACOCK); and SALLY WRIGHT (wife of JESSE.) Witnesses to his Will were HUGHLETT CANNON, CURTIS JACOBS, and HAYS JACOBS. Am also seeking information on THOMAS CLARKSON who patented MILL LANDING ENLARGED on September 29, 1762. He had an "heir at law" named WILLIAM CLARKSON who inherited this parcel sometime prior to November 6, 1779 when WILLIAM sold a portion of this tract to OBEDIAH SMITH. Can anyone explain the significance of the term "heir at law" ? Ron Ron
