Hi all. I have the following cd, which I am willing to do some lookups from. Revolutionary War Pensions Lists, Military Records. Contains images from 12 volumes of Revolutionary War pension records. Contains information on approximately 110,000 individuals. Some types of information that “may” be included is… Name and Rank, Regiment and description of service, Place of residence, Nature of wounds or disability, Date of death, Occasional reference to family members. Please send any requests for a lookup from this cd to me at HYPERLINK "mailto:scott1@digginbones.com"scott1@digginbones.com . Please be sure to put "Rev. War Pension Lists" in the subject line of your message. Please include the state they enlisted in and or filed in which may be the same state they died in. If you know a spouses name or birth date and or death date. Even if you are not certain that your ancestor served during the Rev. War, you may still feel free to ask for a lookup, as long as you know the person would have been of age to have served in the war. Scott Wolfe 1421 Hampton Ct. I don't know if this might be any help but there is a grave site for a James Dale (Sept 18, 1870 age 75 years, 7 months, 1 day) not far from the Blackwater Church. Also there is Margaret Dale (Feb 21, 1881 age 84 years, 5 months, 9 days) and Mary E. W. Dale (March 17, 1869 age 37 years, 2 months, 15 days) ___________________________________________________________________________ Also, in a land transaction between of Uriah Short and Solomon Evans (3/28/1806) "...to the 1st beginning cont. 68 3/4 acres of land and the 2nd part of a tract being called "Blackwater" and beginning at a marked white oak standing at the southwest by west corner of an old field where James Dale now lives being the original bounder of the said tract and also being the original bounder of a tract of land called "Sandy Quarter"... " ___________________________________________________________________________ Also, I have a land record for one of my ancestors. James Bennett is buying land from his father Jehu Bennett in 1819. "...two pieces of a tract of land called 'Holly Grove' the one piece bought of James Cropper and wife and the other bought of Thomas Dale it being in Baltimore Hundred and County and State aforesaid..." __________________________________________________________________________ Next I have a question. Did your Isaac Dale ever spend time in Tennissee? I have a land record where Isaac A. Jehu and Eunice had children born roughly 1780s-1810, whereas Jehu and Abigail's children start about 1813. Jehu with wife Abigail (nee Davis) was younger than the one wife wife Eunice. 'Jehu' was a common SXDE first name. It is possible that Eunice, wife of the **older** Monongalia Co. Jehu Davis, was Eunice, daughter of William Poynter of Cedar Ck. Hd., SXDE, but this idea is completely unproven. I know of no evidence specifically for and against. Any person asserting that this is so had better present the evidence at the same time as making the assertion. Esther DAVIS, dau. of Jehu and Eunice, b. possibly 1790s, mrd. ___ HILL Her husband could be the John Hill enumerated for 1840 in Franklin Twp., Henry Co. IN between the households of George Waters and Jehu Davis [p. 74, line 5]. This household comprised a male aged 50-59, female aged 40-49, male and female each aged 20-29, a male aged 10-14, two females aged 5-9, two females aged 10-14, and a female aged 15-19. This enumeration might include a married child of the senior couple. I did not find evidence in Monongalia Co. for the first name of Esther's husband. I did not find her enumerated for 1850. I did not look into Davis estate records in Henry Co., IN, nor follow Davis land records. Good hunting, Jade Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
